FBC Baytown

The purpose of the Arts Academy is to help participants engage in meaningful worship of our Lord Jesus Christ, and learn to use their gifts in leading others in praise of Almighty God. The Academy will encourage all participants to recognize their talents and skills as gifts from God and to commit their use to His glory through praise, worship and service.

Academy leaders will provide instruction and guidance in a variety of arts, crafts and other skills related to both private and public worship, including vocal and instrumental music, speaking and dramatic interpretation, visual and literary artistic presentations, and technical and related production resources.

The FBC Worship Choir

The Worship Choir is a group of people who enjoy singing, have a heart for God, and a passion to lead people in praise and worship. They lead our members and guests each week  in worship. The choir’s focus is not on performance, but on worship. We call ourselves a “Worship Leading Choir.” As worship leaders, FBC’s Worship Choir seeks to model celebratory praise and intimate worship for our congregation.

About Worship Choir Rehearsal…
The Worship Choir rehearses on Wednesdays 6:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Choir member ages range from teenagers on up to senior adults.  No singing or musical experience needed…No audition required. Child Care is provided.

Vocal Worship Team

Praise Team members have the awesome privilege and incredible responsibility of leading the church family to worship Almighty God. Praise Teams are not about performing…they are about passionately and authentically leading out in worship. The Praise Teams are auditioned singers. They rehearse on Wednesday nights after choir rehearsal. Childcare is provided.

About Praise Team Member Placement…
Along with musical and vocal ability, there are many other factors that go into the decision of who is selected for a praise team. Attitude, Holiness, relationship with Christ, and commitment to this Church and the Worship Choir are additional factors.  

 Praise Band
Piano, keyboards, drums, guitars, bass and brass are all used regularly in accompanying the congregational singing, choir, ensembles and soloists during the 10:45 service.

Drama

Full-length drama, season specials, and vignettes are used regularly to portray Biblical truths or to illustrate key spiritual points.  Whether on the platform or behind the scenes, you will find FBC Baytown embraces the creative process and honors God through the arts.  No experience required—just a willingness to commit to excellence.

 Media

The Media Ministry exists to promote the congregational worship experience on Sunday mornings as well as special programs throughout the year.  We operate on a volunteer basis and are always looking for more people to help run cameras, PowerPoint, lighting and sound.  Our media volunteers are behind-the-scenes, but are definitely a very important part of the overall worship experience.

Handbells

The Handbell Choir at FBC exists to edify believers and honor God with beautiful bell music. The choir presents musical arrangements of traditional hymns as well as new praise songs throughout the year during our 8:15 AM worship experiences.
