First Baptist Church of Baytown has deep and mighty history…

of being a church active in and supportive of missions and ministry. We embrace and financially support the efforts of the North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board. But it’s not just through the NAMB and IMB that FBC Baytown is active in missions and ministry. We are “doers” of God’s Word. Take a look at some of the ways the FBC Baytown family became the hands and feet of Jesus Christ 2008 (click here for pictures):

  • The FBC Baytown youth spent time helping the poor in inner-city Houston.
  • We collected clothes for needy children in Baytown and for mission efforts in Nicaragua.
  • We help supported financially the local prison ministries of Harris County.
  • We help supported financially our local Pregnancy Resource Center.
  • FBC, Baytown supported and hosted the RCDC Christmas Store, which provides Christmas
or low-income families. In 2008, 424 children had Christmas presents as a result of the Christmas Store.
  • Provided 153 boxes for Operation Christmas Child.
  • FBC, Baytown housed over 300 volunteers who served upwards of 60,000 meals a day to victims of Hurricane Ike.
  • FBC, Baytown helped clear yards and do minor repairs for needy families in Baytown.

God is truly amazing. He invites each of us to be part of his work here on earth and FBC, Baytown is committed to responding to the needs of His creation. There’s lots to do…and you’re invited to join us.
